The Struka villa is a cosy riverside cottage for up to 12 people located in Pyhtää, between Kotka and Loviisa. The river flows from Pyhtää chuch to the sea via a lock and the sea is only 3km away. The area is very beautiful and the river flows pass the cottage. Helsinki is about one hour drive away. There is a supermarket and a simple restaurant just 1km away, while the seaside town of Kotka with its wider variety of shops and restaurants is located 26km away. Kotka Maretarium, Maritime Centre Vellamo and Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum in Kotka are well worth a visit, as is the idyllic Stromfors Iron Mill area in Ruotsinpyhtää nearby. Bus to Kotka and Helsinki 2km.
The Struka villa has a spacious living area downstairs with a kitchen, dining area and lounge with a wood burning fireplace, three twin bedrooms, sauna and shower room. Upstairs includes a large space that has a pool table and single beds for five people and a sleeping alcove with twin beds above sauna. The alcove is accessed via a separate entrance from the sauna terrace. Two terraces with river views. Beautiful river view from living room. Note that the cottage is usually rented for max 12 people. One extra person possible for an additional charge of 25 euros/week.
